  Standards Based Learning Activity Collection
These learning activities offer creative methods for integrating use of eLibrary resources into classroom instruction. Developed by experienced educators with subject-matter expertise, the activities have been aligned to national standards and developed for four grade levels and four subject areas. A study from The Pew Internet & American Life Project indicates that most middle and high school students are dissatisfied with their teachers' use of Internet technology in the classroom. (The Digital Disconnect: The Widening Gap Between Internet-Savvy Students and Their Schools.)

Use eLibrary standards-based learning activities to face this challenge head-on! These learning activities offer combined strategies for enriching your practice, meeting curricular requirements and getting your students online and on-task. The activities are provided as downloadable documents so you can edit them as necessary, tailoring them to your specific curriculum or classroom management situation. All activities (except those for K-2) provide two sections -- teacher procedures and student handouts.

KINDERGARTEN - 2nd GRADE
The K-2 activities are set up as a thematic unit about animals, using eLibrary Elementary to integrate language arts, social studies, science and math lessons. You have the option of doing all four lessons or just one; they work as a unit or individually.
